Valentin Kalika International Wrestling Camp | Gori, Georgia 🇬🇪
Train with World and Olympic Champions at the annual Valentin Kalika International Wrestling Camp in Georgia, one of the most respected international wrestling camps in Europe.
This is a pure wrestling camp, focused on Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, held in the historic city of Gori, a legendary center of the Georgian wrestling school. Georgia is globally recognized for producing Olympic and World Champions, and its national team consistently ranks among the strongest in the world.
Georgia is not only a world-recognized center of Olympic and World champions — it is also a breathtaking country known for its hospitality, outstanding cuisine, and vibrant culture. With convenient connections from Europe and visa-free entry for most countries, it is an easy and exciting destination for athletes and families alike.

Olympic & World-Class Wrestling Coaches

This camp will feature legendary Olympic Champions:
●  Vladimir Khinchegashvili — Olympic Champion & World Champion●  Geno Petriashvili — Olympic Champion & multiple-time World Champion● Avtandil Kentchadze — World Champion
They will be joined by elite Georgian wrestlers and coaches, including my personal student Avtandil Kentchadze, World Champion, as well as Cadet, Junior, and Senior World Champions.
The host wrestling school is recognized as the strongest wrestling school in Georgia and, based on the most recent European Championship results, is ranked #1 in Europe.

About the Camp & Coaching Philosophy

I am Valentin Kalika, USA Olympic Wrestling Coach, and founder of the International Wrestling Camp system since 2004.
My coaching philosophy is based on long-term athlete development — not quick results, but building champions step by step.
Through this system:
- I developed the first Olympic Champion in the history of USA women’s wrestling, who defeated an undefeated Japanese legend — a 3-time Olympic Champion and 13-time World Champion.
- I also developed another Olympic Champion who became the youngest athlete in U.S. history to win both a World and Olympic gold medal.
- In total, my athletes have earned 2 Olympic gold medals and 10 World Championship gold medals.
These results are the outcome of a long-term international wrestling development system, combining American and Soviet wrestling methodologies, elite technical detail, discipline, and competitive mindset.
The technical focus of the camp includes:
•   Freestyle Wrestling•   Greco-Roman Wrestling•   Hand fighting, pressure, grip control, and balance breaking•   Olympic-level positioning, transitions, and finishes

Additional Value for Grappling & Jiu-Jitsu Athletes

While this is a wrestling camp, the training is highly beneficial for Grappling and Jiu-Jitsu athletes who want to improve their wrestling foundation.
Grapplers benefit from:
•   Elite wrestling takedown systems•   Clinch control and positional dominance•   Transitions from standing to ground•   Pressure, balance breaking, and top control•   Wrestling skills that directly translate to No-Gi and Gi competition
Many grapplers attend specifically to upgrade their wrestling, not to train Jiu-Jitsu techniques.
